Tatsächlich handelt es sich um eine einfache (allerdings philologisch kontrollierte) Textausgabe mit Anmerkungsapparat und Übersetzung. Das Ganze ist Teil des "Philological Museum", einer digitalen Bibliothek neulateinischer Texte.

Project advised by Thomas O'Connor, Catherine O'Leary and John Keating, managed by Aja Teehan and John Keating, Maynooth, An Foras Feasa, 2008. The digitised material presented here is taken for the college’s account books or Libros de gastos del colegio de Alcalá (Russell Library, Salamanca Archives, Legajo S30, nos 1-3). They were placed in the archives of the Irish college, Salamanca on the closure of the Alcalá college in 1785 and were brought back to Ireland in 1951. They are now housed in the Russell Library, Maynooth College where they form part of the Salamanca Archive, the most important Spanish-language archive on these islands. This digitised version of the account books for the years immediately prior to the college’s closure offer a unique insight into the day-to-day running of the college with valuable information on diet, discipline and domestic matters.

[Selbstbeschreibung] "UCLA Digital Library, in collaboration with the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, will present a facsimile edition of the Decretals of Gregory IX as they appeared with marginal commentary in the Corpus canonicum glossatum promulgated by Gregory XIII in 1580. This will be the first re-printing of the glossed text of the Liber Extra since the appearance of the editio Romana.
This edition of the laws, edited by the Roman Correctors, and provided with numerous indexes to assist in navigating the canons and understanding terminology, will allow historians and legal scholars to study canon law with the aid of the original textual apparatus (glossa ordinaria). The publication of the Liber Extra will be followed during 2006 by the appearance of the glossed texts of Decretum Gratiani and the Liber Sextus."

Die Site bietet sowohl annotierte elektronische Texte der anthumen englischen Lyrik Grays als auch weiterführende Sekundärliteratur, wie einen biographischen Abriss, eine chronologische Tabelle von Leben und Werk, eine Auswahlbibliographie, eine Galerie und Links zu verwandten Online-Ressourcen. Die Texte können sowohl über einen direkten Zugriff auf Textebene erforscht als auch mit einer Suchmaschine durchsucht werden. Der Nutzer hat dabei Zugriff auf einen umfangreichen Anmerkungsapparat, der ständig durch Kooperation von Wissenschaftlern erweitert werden soll. Es gibt eine ältere Projekt-Adresse am Florentiner Institut und Museum für Wissenschaftsgeschichte. Unter der Stanford-Adresse ist die Installation eines DjVu-Plugins und weiterer Software nötig, um zu den Briefen zu kommen, die in einer Datenbank sachlich erschlossen sind und als digitale Abbildungen angeboten werden.
Andere Teile der Korrespondenz sind übrigens an der Herzog-August-Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel digitalisiert, transkribiert, übersetzt und publiziert worden.

Reihe VIII (Naturwissenschaftliche Schriften) soll als Hybrid-Edition (Buch und Online) fortgeführt werden. Die Editionsmaterialien aus diesem Bereich kontextualisierend werden in Wolfenbüttel außerdem "Texte der Leibnizzeit" digitalisiert.

Hg. von Nicole Dufournaud und Jean-Daniel Fekete, Nantes, ca. 1998-2000.Ä lteres, wohl seit 2000 nicht mehr fortgeführtes Projekt zur Edition eines Korpus von 99 Briefen. Die Texte sind in TEI-SGML codiert. Aus diesen sehr tief ausgezeichneten Daten ("lexical tagging, semantic tagging and analytical tagging") sind eine ganze Reihe von traditionellen (Namen, Orte, Glossar), dann aber auch zusätzlich 28 (!) "analytischen" Registern generiert worden. Abbildungen stehen nicht zur Verfügung.

Ed. by Hilary Binda, Medford / Somerville (MA), Tufts University, 2000. Älteres Editionsprojekt, begonnen 1996, seit 2000 anscheinend nicht mehr weiter geführt. Das SGML-/TEI-basierte Projekt bietet die gesammelten Werke Christopher Marlowes mit einer teilweise sehr hohen Zahl von Varianten. Die TEI-Auszeichnung der Dokumente wird in der Edition u.a. zur farbigen Markierung unterschiedlicher Textabschnitte genutzt. Für einen Spezialfall, den "Doctor Faustus" gibt es eine synoptische Edition, die den Vergleich zwischen drei Textvarianten erlaubt.

Bereits 1997 begonnen handelt es sich vom Selbstverständnis her um eine "digitale Bibliothek" transkribierter und inhaltlich annotierter Texte.

Hg. von Guy de Pernon, o.O., 2003-2005. Text (Bücher I-III) nach der Ausgabe von 1595 mit moderner französischer Übersetzung, Kommentar und "Glossaire des noms" (eine Art erweitertes Personenregister). Die Edition ist als Web-Fassung und als "DigiLivre" verfügbar. Das letztere ist ein ausführbares Programm, das aus dem Netz zu laden ist. Es bietet eine synoptische Fassung von insgesamt vier verschiedenen Ausgaben des Werkes. Die ursprünglich gedruckte Fassung als Volltext (double-rekeying), der vor allem mit semantischen Auszeichnungen erschlossen ist. Editorische Kritik findet also nicht auf der Ebene der Texterstellung, sondern auf der Ebene der inhaltlichen Erschließung und der Generierung von browsenden und suchenden Zugängen und Hilfsmitteln statt.

Guy Jacquesson [Guy de Pernon], o.O., 2002. Die Edition ist als ausführbares Programm aus dem Netz zu laden. In einer Art Buchsimulation können auf gegenüberliegenden Seiten jeweils zwei der drei Inhaltsformen Faksimile, Transkription und Editionstext dargestellt werden.

Unter der Leitung von Manfred Groten, Bonn, Universität Bonn, 2002-2006. Vorarbeiten zu einer neuen Gesamtausgabe der Aufzeichnungen Hermann Weinsbergs (1518-1597). Im Zentrum steht eine diplomatische Transkription, die auch die spätere sprachliche und inhaltliche Auswertung vorbereiten soll.

Wikisource dient vor allem als Plattform für die Erarbeitung von Volltexten aus gedruckten oder handschriftlichen Vorlagen. Die meisten Texte sind "flach", es gibt aber auch einige, die quellen- und textkritische Ambitionen haben und deshalb in die Nähe kritischer Editionen kommen. Zu diesen gehören z.B. aus der deutschen Wikisource die Drei Register Arithmetischer ahnfeng zur Practic oder die Zimmerische Chronik
